1.

Customer Particulars

This is the nature of your business (industry), size of operation and the person-in-charge.

2.

Shipment Type

The class or kind of shipment like FCL (chartered), LCL (loose cargo, i.e. pallet/carton-basis), and PROJECT.

3.

Shipment Routes

A series of pick up/loading points and delivery points/unloading.

4.

Product-in-Delivered

The nature, volume, weight, shape, size packaging, packing and stacking of the cargo that needs to be delivered.

5.

Shipment Frequency (Volume)

The regularity and usualness of your shipment. For example, 10 shipments per day, 3 trips per week, only at month end, 5 tons for every shipment, etc.

6.

Minimum Quantity per trip

For LCL, the amount of cargo to be delivered. For example, 2 pallets, 40 cartons, 4 drums, 14/24/30/40 footer truck.

7.

Truck Type and Height

The type and height of the truck that you would need. Example, Open Truck, Box Van, Curtain Sider, Low Loader, Tipper Trailer, High Cube, Bonded, Haulier, Container, Tanker Truck.

8.

Special Condition

If the shipment is Bonded, Hazmat (DG), Time Critical, High Value, Oversize, Heavy, Project of multiple trips, Storage, Distribution, Insurance and Stop Point.

9.

Loading/Unloading Location

Is the pick up/destination of shipment a residential, industrial, office, retail, multi-storey, airport, or seaport?

10.

Loading/Unloading Facility

Other facility/equipment needed for the loading/unloading of the shipment. For example, Crane, Forklift, Tail-Gate, Pallet-Jack, Trolley, and even Supply of Labor of the operator for the Loading/Unloading process.

11.

Loading/Unloading Duration

The total amount of time needed while loading and unloading the shipment to and from the truck to and from the pick up/destination.

12.

Specialized Service (3rd Party)

Utilization of 3rd party service like crane, forklift, oil-pumping, policy escort, etc.

13.

Declaring Agent for Clearance

For import/export and freight forwarding services.

14.

Commencement Date

The date of the first shipment according to the quote requested for.

15.

Main-Con or Sub-Con

Main-Con shall be granted the asset allocation priority.

16.

Term of Credit

The timeframe of the payment for the goods. Example, prepayment, cash on delivery, next month basis or 30 days’ Term.

17.

Reason for Quotation

The reason for the need of the quotation like increase in production, new routes, existing service problem, etc.
